The owners of a gun club have been told that they do not have planning permission for a shooting range.
Hilltop Shooting Club near Newtownmountkennedy, Co Wicklow, which has more than 200 members, could close after it lost an appeal against the county council’s decision to refuse planning permission.
An Bord Pleanála rejected the application by Pat and Marion Cooke, the club’s owners, for retention permission for their facilities as well as their request to modify some of the existing shotgun shelters.
